Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound, also called sonography, is an imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within the body. The images produced, called sonograms, can provide valuable information for diagnosing and treatment of a variety of diseases and medical conditions.

As ultrasound scans use sound waves or echoes to make an image instead of radiation, they are safe to use during pregnancy.
